Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 8/18/07
This week I fished several times on the water with a variety of customers some from the Carolina's and one day with one of my better customers out of Decatur Al. Each day we seemed to catch a few fish early on top water although they were fairly small, and then went worm fishing in and around the 10-foot ditches. It was really quit pleasant out on the water in the mornings, the fish were fairly active each day, they were chasing bait and hit pretty hard when you found them.
Each day on the water we boated 8 to 14 fish except one day where we got the bites but just couldn't hook up, most fish were in the 2 to 3 pound range with a good fish or so each day. Depending on how long we were on the water had a lot to do with how many we caught, we missed probably another 5 to 12 daily and had plenty of action and some fun on the water.
We fished mainly the mid to lower end of the lake using Top Water Bait, Tight-Line Jigs, big worms and a small four-inch type worms.
There's fish to be caught the lake is getting more active, there was several tournaments out there this past Saturday and the fish are slowly migrating to the shallows chasing the bait fish. It should be a great fall.
Come Fish with me! I have days available all through the fall please call for details.
