We managed to rally for one final trip before the year's end. Our plan was to make the hour or two run out to "dos aguas" where two opposing currents form a trash line that is known to hold both mahi mahi and sailfish. Everything was a go until about halfway to our destination we came upon a feeding frenzy of tuna, we quickly set out a couple of rapalas and were rewarded with doubles and triples that lasted for about an hour. We continued following the sea birds that were hunting sardines from the air while the blackfin and bonitios hunted them from below. It was as much fun catching tuna as it was watching the birds do their thing, in fact we got so distracted that we didn't leave ourselves enough time to make the trip to dos aguas! Oh well, that trip remains high on our list for January. With the weather and fishing cooperating like it has been so far this winter, I'm sure we won't be short of opportunities in the New Year.

From our family to you and yours have a Happy New Year and we'll see you again in 2014.
