Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/20/08
The fishing this past week has been nothing short of incredible. The bass have moved into an active fall pattern, and the week was just as good as it gets. We were blessed starting the week with some cooler temperatures, the water temperature dropped with it and the bass have just been extremely active.
We had catches this week of 40 or more bass a day, we've caught good solid keeper fish, tournament size fish and many small this years spawn fish! The bass have moved into the fall feeding pattern, the bait is just exploding all day long and the greatest days are here. Most of my week I fished up river fishing 4 to 12 feet of water, we caught them on top and on small Mister Twister worms and crank baits.
We keyed in on points, humps and dying grass for most of the time on the water. You need to find the baitfish, combine that with the dying grass and you will be fishing where the fish are! I believe the upper part of the lake is better suited for the fall bite this year because of the grass being thicker up there than the lower end.
My schedule is not full I have days available throughout September and October, the weather is great and you should be able to catch fish regardless of skill level for the next 8 weeks. Come fish with me; I will help you have a great time on the water!
