Kabetogama/Namakan Fishing Report 2/12/07

Not a lot of fishing news to report, the artic cold blast which put us on key with Siberia is now easing up.

Anglers that ventured out for walleyes found the best depth in the 36-38' range. Small peeper jigs, bare hook and minnow, and glow jigs led the way.

Pike action for anglers and spearers remained a little more consistent, no big fish but lots of 4-8# being taken.

Crappies remain silent, however this past weekend showed some promise as the temps came up.

I would suggest anglers grab their auger extensions; you may need them if your house is up off the ice.

Ice thickness may vary, but it is approaching 32" and more.

Happy Valentines Day!

Have a Great Day!
