Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 4/12/08
Water Temperature 65 degrees
The bass are feeding consistently throughout the lake as we had another excellent week on the water. Even though the wind and weather conditions continued to make everyday different we managed to find good fish and good numbers all week long.
It took a couple of hours each morning but after we put a pattern together each day was successful. We managed a big fish just about every day and the numbers were in the 20's or more just about daily. The biggest fish for the week was a 7 lb. 6 oz. Monster that still hadn't spawned out, but made for a big smile on one of my best customers.
It appeared the bass wanted a slow presentation each day, as we continued to catch fish on Mister Twister lizards and Tight-Line jigs working each slowly and patiently in the shallows. We fished the mid to lower part of the lake concentrating on 1 to 5 foot water looking for new grass growth. If you found some green new growth there were feeding bass also.
The good times are here it will be fairly consistent until we get some real hot weather but that leaves more than two good months to have some great fun on Lake Guntersville.
Here are some open dates I am available in the near future to fish 4/ 25, 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, 4/30, 5/1, 5/2, 5/3, 5/4
