Headed out Saturday morning with the same crew as last week April, Doug & Laura Larsen. Went straight out to the deep sticky stuff dropped down 6&8oz bucktails and they were nowhere near holding bottom Called a friend that was fishing the rocks and he had more managable drifting conditions so down the beach we go.

On the way down the beach there were bluefish crashing bunker everywhere. We got down the rocks and the PBs were chashing the blues like hounds. Once we set drift we didn't have much of a bite so we waited out the tide we managed only 1 keeper.

After the tide changed we headed back to my original spot and 4 oz jigs were now bouncing nicely the group boated 7 more keepers in a short time and we headed in with 8 fish just like last week. No monsters but it shouldn't be long before someone puts one in the boat
