It may be a little early, but now is the time for fishing spectators to be thinking about their plans for making a trip to the Bassmaster's Classic, with actual competition to be held for three days on Alabama's Guntersville Lake in Feb 21-23 of 2014.
For the first time in 38 years the ever popular, world class Bassmaster's Classic will return to Guntersville Lake. (In 1976 Rick Clunn won that event with 58 pounds of bass).
In the past, Classic anglers were kept guessing what lake the "secret location" Bassmasters Classic would be held on. Ray Scott saw to it that they did not know, until they were all on the plane heading to the actual Classic location lake.
This would be the last time (in 1976) they keep the Bassmasters Classic location a secret. From then on all Classic contenders knew what lake it was to be held on. With one exception.
These Classic contenderscould not be on Classic waters after January first, preceeding the actual Bassmasters Classic tournament.
So now, many of them are already practicing for this Bassmasters Classic in the latter part of 2013.
