We are approaching the time of year where you can go to the water and offer up a lot of fun with very little effort.

There are many jigging spoons on the market that can offer this fun. To catch these schooling fish all you need to do is buy some light weight 4 to 6 inch jigging spoons, there cheap, they have excellent coloring and a lot of flash and catching schooling fish is all about flash.From here it's easy all you have to do is look for the schooling fish in the mornings or evenings take that big lightweight jigging spoon and throw it out past the schools and slowly wind it back through the schools. The only key is to move it fast enough to keep it in the top 4 to 6 feet of water yet slow enough to let the flash movement from side to side work for you. That's it, you will catch fish, they will probably be small but don't bet on the fact that a big one doesn't get into the game and before you end the day you hook up with a big fish also and a lot of numbers.
