Its fishing time again. the weather is right for the Big ones to bite. November and December have always been good months for fishing on these power plant lakes. While some are out in deer stands I will be on the lake looking for thenextbite! I like to start off my articles with a thank you to the one who makes all this possible. Thank you god for all you do for me. i am nothing without you. Now let's talk about how to get some Bass in the boat. Fayette County Lake in November is a fun lake, the fish seem to want to eat this time of the year. i have grown really fond or fishing a frog or toad on Fayette and with that let me explane the difference. a frog floats on top of the water and a toad sinks. There are lots of folks who make both so have fun choosing your favorite. For the last six or seven years I have used X-point hooks only when fishing a toad and I can say i have never had a hook break. Never not once. Thank you TTI-Blackmore for making a very strong hook. I would also like to give a thumbs up to the Tica Fishing Tackle Co. for buildind such a sturdy rod---The model wlsa70h1. After the morning bite slowsdown you will need to go and find the fish. I can give you a couple of hints, the bass on Fayette will likely be either in the hard woods or around grass this time of the year. I like to start off looking for them in the wood because it does not take long to find out if they're there or not. The Culprit Lureco. has a New plastic lure out for 2011 called a Fat Max. It has a fatter body and a thicker tail. The worm workes very good for flipping in the hard wood on Fayette.Nowif I can't a bite in the wood,I will go find some grass and locate bass most of the time. Ok, let's move on to Lake Bastrop. This lake is a Bass factory! I always start my mornings off in the hot water discharge where nine times out of ten bass will be feeding like machines. This feeding activity is not hard to miss. The bass are striking the surface while chasing shad and other minnows while gorging themselves. This activity can go on for hours. I like to have a couple of different lures rigged up and ready to throw such as a small top water bait or a small swim bait. The one thing you should always rember is to never oversive your lures on this lake. I am a very fotunate man to get to do what I love. I would like to thank Culprit Lures,Tica Fishing Tackle, Conquistador Tackle,Maxima Line, TTI-Blackmore .
