As Labor Day weekend comes to an end anglers are left "not so high and dry" likethe past fewweeks have shown state wide. It has been hot in the upper 90's, with very little rain, until now.
With 5-6 inches of rain falling Monday- Labor Day itself, on top of an already very pre-soaked state of several inches in south Alabama, there are going to be some very muddy water situations this week following.
Bass tournament anglers may want to avoid "practicing" for any tournament theyhave planned to compete in for the upcoming weekend of September 10-11. Stay away from very muddy water, if possible.
Major feeder creeks, especially those in the mid-to-upper portions of most of Alabama's lakes, could be clear now, but they will be very muddy in the next few days.
But, keep in mind, the very back ends of these creeks will be the first places to clear and it could show a lot of gathered-up bass, that other anglers may have missed!
Make plans to fish the mid-to-lower portion of any main lake where the water clarity will change the least! If forced to fish stained to muddy water conditions then plan on fishing with lures that emit flash, vibration and those with plenty of built in "noise" to help these bass track down your lures!
