The weather has been extremely hot and humid for the past month or so. Even with the extreme heat the bite has stayed consistent until a low pressure decided to sit on top of us for a few days. There was about three days that they made us work for a bite but we still managed to pull out some good numbers and quality fish. As the low pressure has pushed away from the coast the bite had been a lot better and getting back to normal. We still have good numbers of trout holding on the edges mixed in with the bait pods. The redfish have been milling around up on the shallow grass and are very receptive to a variety of baits. I like to start the morning throwing plugs and ADL Spoons then switching over to live bait or soft plastics. The trout and redfish have not been the only ones with a appetite on the Lagoon. The tarpon and snook have been eating pretty good as well coming off a full moon a week ago. Targeting them with live bait has been the best choice lately.
Good luck and be safe!
