With the "rainy weather" we had another cancellation so Akasha and Mike and I hit the river again for a short float. The river did not fish as well as it had yesterday but it was still an impressive day on the water.

Between the 3 of us we landed somewhere over 15 fish, again on streamers, and again the hits were aggressive and acrobatic with many of the fish flying completely out of the water on the take. The rain didn't really come and the river was pretty much empty except for 1 or 2 other boats with guides play fishing much like us due to canceled trips. Speaking with one of the shop owners who was out with his guide they had a pretty slow day but they were also just fishing dries and looking for snouts.

Akasha put more fish in then net then Mike or I but Mike took the heaviest fish of the day a 22" brown that was just a football. The tank was Mike's heaviest and biggest brown of the year overall, despite taking several browns that were as much as 2" longer. It was a nice fish and hit in the exact spot I missed a big brown yesterday....he stole my fish...ok so he landed the fish I missed, tomato...tomoto.
