Mike did a walk and wade with Mark's group from the Heartland set today. All 3 were new to fly fishing so Mike worked with everyone to get them comfortable with fly casting and all the quirks fly fishing has to offer.
One of the guys hooked into a brute of a brown early so they wanted to stay and keep fishing the same runs with the hope of landing such a brute. It's hard for most newcomers to the sport to understand just how many fish of that quality there are throughout the entire river. With only the morning to fish and fishing from the bank Mike was able to get everyone comfortable with their casting and even to hook fish, not a bad first day of fly fishing...if only they had more time.
