The Fl. Crappie Association held their monthly tournament on Lake Dorr. The top weight of 8 lbs 12 oz. with seven fish was achieved by myself and partner Keith Dillon by long line trolling at 1.1 mph using Culprit paddle tails on champions choice jig heads dbl. rigged on Vicious Hi-Vis Panfish Line using 1/48 and 1/32 weight sizes. We pulled the double rigs at approx. 2 feet deep in 18 feet of water covering lots of water as the fish seemed to be scattered although in schools. Second place went to Daryl and his wife Terry Cole with a weight of 8lbs 7 oz. they were tight lining with Ron's Zip Jigs. Third place was the team of George Parker and Tim Eberly with a weight of 8 lbs.5 oz. They were long line trolling using AWD baits. If you want to know more about tournament fishing give me a call.
