We finally have the right water depths and current here on the St Johns River to make a great summer after all.The St Johns River is on fire with lots of shad and lots of Big Trophy Bass.

Today the water really cleaned up after all the resent rains and it was game on.I had Mike and Kim in from IL for a six hour trip and the first 3 to 4 hours were unreal with one big fish after another all coming on crank baits in 5 ft of water off main river shellbeds.Mike had a 5 fish limit that weighed 25 pounds and then another 5 fish limit that weighed 18 to 20 pounds and i lost count of total numbers.A couple real Trophies were lost as well.Water temps have cooled with the good current we now have in the main river.Lake Reports are saying mid 90's for water temps today we had 84 degrees here on the St Johns River and thats what makes the big difference in these Trophy Bass Biting.
