The past two days we have received over 6 inches of rain here in Central FL.
We haven't had lighting with these rains and I have been on the water
both days with clients. The fishing has been unreal to say the least.
Today March 12th I had Pete and Pat in from New Orleans for the first day
of their three day trip.Sometimes you hate to see a three day trip start out
this way because clients tend to think everyday will be the same and most
times that is not the way it works. But Pat has fished with me before and
knows that this was a great day that will be hard to beat.
Pete had the hot hand today catching three fish between 8 and 10 pounds
and between the two fisherman there were 30 bass caught in 7 hrs
we left them biting as we ran through 65 wild shiners in short time.
These Florida Trophy Bass are in full spawn and taking advantage of the
69 degree water temps. The artificial bite is red hot as well.
Large flats off the main river near the backs of pad fields seem to be the beat areas
for artificial fishing at this time
