May 11. Tried to clam some Bass today in Raritan Bay. Water temp dropped down to 50 degrees on the outgoing tide. Except for a couple of Bluefish runoffs, caught mostly skates and spider crabs. Decided to run offshore of Sandy Hook to look for some bunker schools. Found schools with nothing underneath them. Finally found some birds working with Bass under them feeding on rain fish. We quickly got our limit of Bass to about 15lbs.
