Beating the Bushes!
When the may fly hatch takes place, "fish catching gets good!" Mayflies are insects that hatch from egg casing on the bottom of streams and lakes. As they mature, they swim to the surface, and then fly off. If there are shoreline bushes where they happen to take flight, they fly into the bushes. It has been ascertained by many freshwater fishermen that mayflies prefer willow bushes to other types. So therefore I suggest looking for willow bushes and fish around them, because they attract "mayflies." Another thing to look for is birds-a-feeding. This is another sign to "fish here!" Lets assume you have found willow bushes along with bird-a-feeding, which means you have found a "sweet spot to fish!" However, after a period of catching the bites slows. Please don't leave this area. All you have to do is to take a stick or heck your rod will do, and "beat the bushes a bit!" This should get things going in the biting and catching department! This just goes to show you that fishing isn't just about what's under the water as much as what you look for and find above it!
