Mattern Guide Service on Lake Fairfield

Well This was a great week on Lake Fairfield with One day a few big bites then another over a dozen big bites.
Yesterday the wind was blowing so hard I took John Revell and Mike Garcia in the protected areas I knew about. We had one of those days you dream about Saturday with over 11 Bass in the 4-5 lb. range with the whopper over 7 lbs. All fish were caught you know already the Famous Nichols salty mother sinker in Green pumpkin fished in 2-8 feet of water. Most fish were caught along the reeds but some were caught in the deeper water about 8 feet in pockets.
Water temps are way up from 65-73 degrees depending where you are on the Lake. All fish were released and we should be in for some great action for the year.
Congratulations to John for all those Big Bass he caught although about a 6.5 lber pulled off right at the boat he made up for it with a couple more 5 lbers. and congratulations to Mike Garcia who caught alot of 5 lbers and broke off a Big Sow right next to the boat but made up for it wioth a whopping 7 lb. + Bass at the end of the day.
