We began our day on one of my secret spots out in the deep water where less traffic makes for better fishing. In no time at all a nice gag gouper was in the box and was shortly followed by several amberjack and two more gags up to 36 lbs. That great action was topped off with a mystery bit that turned into a 22 lb cobia; man, what a day this was turning out to be.
My 1st mate and I were feeling prety good about or day and not expecting much on the troll.
Low and behold, our repeat charter customers captained by thei leader and chief angler 'Pam' had an even better day to look forward to with a steady bite of dolphin interspersed with the somewhat bothersome 'little tuny' bites.
In the end, that was a good thing as we reeled in two out of four unusually large black fin tuna, one weighed 32 lbs and the other was in the 25 lb range.
