Klickitat River Guides is a third generation guide service that was founded by my father Phil Zoller in the 1960s.
Most of the river runs through a remote, road less, no trails, Indian reservation. The lower 30 miles is ran with drift boats. Season June 1st through November.
Our company has held a Outfitter use permit on the USFS Wild and Scenic section for over 20 years, which provides us with low guide pressure.
The Klickitat is a Mt Adams glacier flowing stream with water that stays cool, enabling the fish to stay firm and powerful. Salmon and Steelhead migrate from the Pacific Ocean up the Columbia River and into the Klickitat. The fish migration starts in the spring and continues into the winter with different runs through the seasons.
The climate in the Klickitat valley is very unique. As the storms come in off the Pacific, the rain drops off in the Cascade Range as the weather systems move East. Twenty miles West of the Klickitat its a rain forest, ten miles East it is a desert. We have pine and oak forest with the south faced hills being mixed with open natural meadows. A perfect setting for all types of wildlife.

LODGING
As far as our cabins They are way nicer than a motel. They have double
beds, living rooms, full bathrooms, real flush toilets, hot showers. The
roof overhangs the front porch and makes for a nice hang out. They are
brand new and the view from them only happens here.
Also, they have everything for cooking, including a nice bbq on the porch.
