Fished the bay this morning, had a nice drift with the last of the outgoing and a little breeze, very nice bite until the conditions naturally went to hell. Had wind against the rest of the day, worked the throttles, picked away on shorts and keepers. Couple ships put the end to the bite, finished up in the ocean where we caught the pool fish. Mike Hyde, Kearny, N.J. boated a just shy of a doormat at 28 1/2 inches 9 1/2 pounds! Mike and his son mike jr. ended the day with 8 nice keepers between them....Still at a loss for what's going to happen next week. You would think with all the boats out the past 3 days, someone would have caught a few Weakfish! May go bottom fishing, will decide the next few days...Capt.Ron
