Fridays trip started before sunrise netting scaled sardines at local bridges. A full live well is critical to success for fishing and chumming.

Brothers Mike, Mark and son Anthony joined me for a half day of fun. We started the day chasing mackerel. The very first bait was crushed the moment it hit the water! Momenets later Anthony was all smiles taking pictures with his chunky 20" Spanish Mackerel.

Next up we chased trout on shallow grass flats. Local flats are loaded with trout, jacks, sharks, flounder, ladyfish, blues all eager to chase live bait and lures.

Next up we targeted Tampa Bays snook. Working sady potholes in 2' of water we found juvenile snook to 22' eager to slam our live baits. Mixed in were trout to 20". Our chum baits brought in a school of jacks that made for non stop action for 20 minutes. The fun really began when Anthonys rod doubled over and 50 yards of lined peeled of his Quantum Cabo reel in seconds! Momenets later a big snook exploed on the surface. Anthony fought the snook for 10 minutes going completely around the boat!Anthonys first snook measured 34".
