Have now recieved reports of 3 large Spring Salmon suspected of being "Columbians" in the last 2 weeks, caught in and around Otter Point at 120 to 135ft on the downrigger. Thursday or Friday a local Sooke fisherman was seen cleaning a Spring in the 25lb range at the dock, he later reported it to Ben at Eagle Eye Outfitters as weighing a whopping 29lbs. It would appear that full out summer time fishing is almost here.

April 22 fishing with Geoff from Mill Bay this morning we had a double header of Salmon within 15 minutes of putting the gear down. The larger fish let go, but we landed 1 about 7lbs. We were fishing anchovy on the downrigger at 130 and 140ft in 150ft of water at Otter Point. Two other boats were in the area, and each had 1 fish aboard, 1 of the Springs was an awesome 19lbs. Good Fishing, Ron
