On Monday my comeback client Ed Perry started catching fish before the boat was put on a plane, about 5 minutes or less out of the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor.
With gulls working over small specks, white trout, bluefish, and Spanish mackerel it wasn't long before 35 or more keepers made it into the live well. And that was before 7 in the morning.
Move to the outside of Deer Island, and more of the same was everywhere. After more hot bird fishing we ran to the Katrina Reef where they bottom fished, and got into another hot bite of nice ground mullet and white trout, as well as a few small sharks and a nother nice Spanish mackerel.
Although a lot of catch and release was practiced, the group brought home 100 plus of the tasty bottom dwellers, as well as 2 Spanish mackerel, and a few small speckled trout.
By 10 o'clock we were heading back to the dock with a fine catch of edible fish. Another magnificent day of light tackle fishing in south Mississippi aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
Ran a short trip the next day, and Gleb Drona from Russis and his 10-year-old son landed a nice mess of white trout and ground mullet, as well as a few small sharks, plenty of croakers, and a big spadefish that nearly pulled Danila out of his seat.
Danila had the hot hand landing the majority of the fish. Another great morning of angling in south Mississippi!
