Strong tides and great visibility makes sight fishing the flats of Biscayne Bay during the summer a very productive fishing experience. With this week's strong tides the bonefish have been eating really well with lots of mudding fish throughout the day. Over a four hour period we saw well over 100 bones feeding and on the prowl the south bay oceanside flats. We released two on spinning gear and handpicked shrimp then switched to fly. On fly we had four fish eat but no hook ups and one fish hook up but quickly spitting the hook (Ugh)! Remember to take plenty of fluids and drink often, it is HOT out there.
