The wind was blowing hard ,boat control was impossable without the use of an anchor but the Bass did not seem to care as long as you made a good cast and retrieved your bait in their vicinity it was gonna be eaten .
The day had started out a little slow for a couple of friends of mine as they had only caught 3 fish by noon .
So after lunch I went to help find some willing bass that wanted to eat, the first cast produced a 4 lb. fish , and by 6pm we had boated 18 fish all on the Steel shad.
For the last few weeks the Blade bait made by Blake Gills has been the most effective bait that has been tied on my line with most all days producing at least one 5 to 6 pounds .
As long as the baitfish are running in the river the bite should stay on , fish the mouths of creeks and edges of pads and you should be successful also .
Till next time Good Luck and I'll see you on the water ,
Capt. Steve Niemoeller
