Great fishing going on in Fort Lauderdale today. The bluefish, a mostly northern fish, is migrating through our waters. They are schooled up in 100ft of water and eating just about anything you throw at them. Drift fishing is very effective for catching these bluefish as they pass through in a school. With 20 or more lines out, almost every line gets a hit on a big bluefish. These are not the little snapper blues either. These are the full grown, adult, mature bluefish, all of them 10 pounds or better. The action today was almost non-stop, catching over 100 of these bluefish in a 4 hour trip. I've heard reports that the afternoon trip is catching them too. It's great to see this action in Fort Lauderdale, and it won't last forever, so get out there in the next couple of days if you can to have some fun with these bluefish schools. Good luck fishing everyone. I'll sea ya on the water.
