Savannah Snapper Bank Bottom Fishing
Fishing is good and the catching is even better. For those fishermen out there that really want to going fishing and add catching to your list, 'now is the time to go!' I can't say the enough about 'October, November, and December being fish catching months!' Bottom fishing during this time gives us fishermen an opportunity to catch the most of what this area has to offers. Large red snapper and freight train pulling grouper are holding on most of the ledges in this area. I like to fish my isolated areas, which I call 'fishing cites!' These are areas that offer everything that all size fish are looking for in regards to feeling protected and being able to feed at the same time. I guess you could say, 'all is well on the reef at least till someone eats!'
Best baits used are going to be anything from the live stuff to the dead old smelly ones. The good news is that you as well as the fish have 'baiting up options!' We carry all of the standard stuff such as squid and then we also try to catch an array of live fish. During this time the only way to catch a big fish is to be fully prepared by having it all whether its large/small or live/dead bait!
