Saturdays charter took us down south in Mosquito Lagoon with a livewell full of pigfish. With 100 pigs on board my goal was to put my clients on some quality size reds. Fishing a bar that drops off from inches deep to around 3 feet we were able to double up twice on slot reds, with a few trout in the mix. The big boys were not in this area, but as I glanced about 200 yards to the south west, I could see some good size wakes pushing. As we worked our way towards them, sure enough there they were, a school of very large fish. We managed one out of the school going 41 inches, just under 20 pounds before they took off not to be seen again. Not a bad day after all!
