Butler Chain Report (Orlando Florida)
Jan 10 2006
Fishing on the Butler Chain has been fair with the recent cold front. The water temp is between 66 and 67 degrees. There are alot of spawning beds in every lake on the chain. The fish moved off the beds yesterday after the BIG drop in water temp, but by this afternoon they were already moving back up. I fished a half day Jan 10th with my good friend Gary Clark of Kissimmee and we boated 10 fish up to 4 pounds on artifical's, hard jerkbaits and a Producto watermelon red glitter 6 inch lizzard were our best baits. Jan 11th I had a two boat trip and the fishing was a little slower due to the big drop in water temp. Shiners were the best bait today producing a 6 pounder and a couple 3 pounders. Some smaller fish were caught on artificals. With the weather getting warmer the next few days the fish will get really active again.

I would like to thank all of our clients and friends for keeping Bass Challenger and Capt Ed Bussard your "go to" guide service for the past 27 years. This year my clients will be fishing from my new 2007 20ft ZX225 Skeeter Bass Boat powered by a 2007 Yamaha 225 HP. It is a beautiful and very comfortable boat to fish from.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
See Ya out there!!!
GOD BLESS ARE TROOPS
