Fished the Cape Fear river yesterday catching Virginia mullet just off from Fort Fisher ferry landing, this was my first trip of the season for I have been recovering from surgery on my Achilles tendon. It sure does feel great being back on the water catching fish. Lot's of fish action right now Spanish mackerel are showing up along our beaches with lots of bluefish action.

Found a number of red drum yesterday most fish were just under slot size, except for the first drum which was just over the slot size, this red drum picked up a piece of cut croaker on a carolina rig and took off.
