Stayed local all day today!! Bird life and the bite got better as the tide started to run...Plenty of Stripers, just not alot of keepers...if we only had the slot fish back!! Saw more bluefish action as we got closer to the channel....Watched in amazment as Fireman John landed 8 bass then not realizing he had a bluefish, actually lipped the sucker to take it off!!! Good thing when the sucker chomped down he didn't try to pull his finger out...10 minutes later it was a hook in the other hand...past the barb!! The pain and the blood didn't keep him from fishing, for that you get two thumbs up John!!! Huge area of fish so far this fall, North, East and South down the beach. Only hope some of the bigger fish show in the next two weeks...Sailing every day 7:30AM. Capt.ron
