Didn't have Gail force winds as predicted...naturally! Started Friday morning in the channels...loads of birds working, All short bass and bluefish. When that died we took a ride to deeper water, found Gannets diving, thought we found the Mother load!, Mother load alright, all big blues, not 1 bass. Ran too the rocks, blues off shore, found some bird life inshore, herring and Stripers (that were as small as the herring!! You see how the day is going...no lack of action, by now I'm pissed cause we still don't have a keeper Striper for the pool. Made a last ditch effort on the way home, stopped on some life had 2 bass...natually, they didn't make 28 inches! Good fishing, no keepers, plenty of blues, a $300 fuel bill, and NO KEEPERS! It's the challange that keeps me coming back!!! Capt.Ron
