The Fall bass fishing forecast for the lakes in the Orlando Florida area is looking extremely promising. I don't have a crystal ball or anything like that so I have to base my forecast on the months leading up to the Fall season as well as last years results.
June through September has been a non-stop feeding frenzy regardless of the air or water temperatures. Catches of 35-40 bass per outing were the norm for most of that time. And this was during the hottest part of the year. I've spent the entire Summer taking my clients bass fishing on Lake Toho and would expect to continue fishing there as this lake provides the best opportunity for a trophy bass. Each year from October though December the bass fishing is quite consistent due to the cooler air and water temperatures and the longer feeding times that big Florida
Bass will take advantage of. Just to give an example from last years results, the best day in October was a 50 bass day with 3 of those fish caught weighing between 8 and 11 lbs. The weather this time of year is also quite enjoyable for my clients as the lows should be in the high 60's and the highs in the 80's. Going into December we should be seeing lows around 50 degrees. The bass fishing techniques for Fall fishing can very greatly but Artificial lures should produce equally as well as live bait to produce quality numbers. I encourage longer trips during this time of year as the afternoon fishing can easily be as good and some- times better than the morning bite. If you are thinking of coming to the Orlando area this Fall I hope you will contact me so that you have an opportunity to enjoy the awesome bass fishing this time of year has to offer.
See you on the water.
