CHASE N' TAILS FISHING CHARTERS FISHING REPORT..
It's definately hot out side the water temp is now 82-84 degrees the inshore fishing action is great redfish are roaming the outside shorelines, points, cuts, and coves the early morning is the best bite keep casting distance away from the reds a fresh cut pinfish is the hot bait right now use a 3/0 circle hook and a 20lb suffix leader. Topwater is a good way to start your day I like a Rapala Skitter walk in the mullet or trout color Precision Tackle In Spring Hill has a great selection of top waters to choose from just ask Dave what is the hot lure and he will show you.
Trout are in 6-10 feet on mix bottom a 1/4oz jig head and a white Berkely Gulp shrimp bouncing slowly on the bottom will put fish in the boat. Also in the same area is big lady fish, blue fish, sharks, cobia, and tarpon.
Tarpon are here and in large schools from bayport to homosassa around black rock in chazz and out by the tri pods a heavy rod with a fast
action tip and 30lb power pro a 40-50lb suffix leader and a D.O.A swimming mullet works great also a live finger mullet, pinfish,or even a catfish head on the bottom has worked to..
Cobia are all over the place from 4 feet to 25 feet they have been hitting anything you present to them the cobia are 28-35 inches..
