Cold – Windy - Fishing
It was cold on the water today. I don't think the temperatures got over 55 all day. The wind was a little tough but not too bad. We fished docks inside residential canals with MirrOlure's suspending MirrOdine and gulp jerk shads. We had a decent bite after the sun go up good around 10 AM. With the water temperature lower than the last few days we really had to slow down the presentation on both the lures and soft plastics. We cast and let the MirrOdine sit still for a few seconds and the slightly twitch it and let it sit again. The gulps we'd skip under the docks let them settle, and slowly move it along the bottom. Most of our bites came as it sat on the bottom. We caught several decent reds 20-25 inches, a few small snook and two good sized trout.
