Things have slowed down with the winter freeze. Lots of slush and ice in the river make for tough fishing. The only water that can be fished with a driftboat, is the Altmar to Pineville section. Fishing on foot, without a boat is difficult as we have gotten 2 - 3ft of snow in the last week making walking difficult. The best bet would be to cast egg sacks of beads under a float. Most of the Steelhead are in the bigger pools, the winter holding areas, right now and will stay there for the next couple of months.
