Smith Lake

March 27th, 2013

After a long time coming it looks like spring might finally be here. The bites picking up and we've seen some top water action lately. It want be long till more fish start pushing into the shallows. We're still catching most of our fish on the north ends of the lake. Look for the warmest water around and try fishing less stained water for better results. Planner boards, balloons, redfins, and several other top water or wake baits catch plenty of fish this time of year. Give me a call if your interested in booking a trip. This will be one of your best chances to catch a big one. I'll have new reports up on the website about twice a week throughout April. So get ready for plenty of info and pictures. I've been busy adding to our shad tanks and bait business, plus fishing everyday the weather has allowed. Has keep me busy and short on reports lately. But things will be back to normal in April, so make sure to checkout the website weekly for updates.
