November 9, 2006 Toledo Bend Fishing Report Greg Crafts-Guide, Toledo Bend Guide Service And Lake Cottage 936.368.7151 gcrafts@bigfoot.com www.toledobendguide.com The lake is 164.9 ft msl, high pool is 172 ft msl. The water temperature has been gradually falling and is running in the 60s. The north end of the main lake is stained with the feeder creeks muddy.

The fishing has really picked up with the cooling water temperature. The Crappie fishing has been improving everyday. Usually by this time, the Crappie are stacked up and we're loading up the boat but we've had such warm weather and such a large influx of fresh water, the Crappie are still scattered for what it should be for this time of the year.

The White Bass have really taken off. The last few days we've been Crappie fishing early and when the bite slows down we've been going to our sandbars and loading the boat up with big White Bass in no time. Slab spoons working best in 14 to 20 ft of water. We're starting to see a lot more schooling activity so keep a trap handy.

No reports on Black Bass. Everybody has either been fishing for Crappie or Whites. -- Greg Crafts Toledo Bend Guide Service & Lake Cottage 159 Toledo Forest Shelbyville, TX 75973 936.368.7151 www.toledobendguide.com gcrafts@bigfoot.com
