Smith Lake
May 6th, 2013
It's been a strange spring in Alabama, but some big fish are being caught. After another weekend of rain and the lake up 1 foot above full pool. It will be a couple days before fishing in the shallows is productive again. But before the rain the weekend we hooked some big fish. While we landed some and lost others, we caught fish using live bait, sub surface lures, and big topwater baits. Right now is the time for big baits, either live or artificial. Our fish are eating and looking for big meals. We expect to continue to fish shallow for another week or two. While we are still catching a lot of fish in the main channel over 70-110 feet of water. If your interested in booking a trip or would like more info. Checkout my websiteswww.striper247smithlake.com andwww.fishing24-7guideservice.com. Also we got our 19 member for the Smith Lake Striper Club. That only leaves 6 spots open. Smith Lake Striper Club is the only club with a private website were member can log on and see weekly fishing fishings with maps, fish locations, and the techniques and tactics I use to catch them. The website also has a decision board were member ask and answer just about any thing to do with stripe fishing. Since the start of the club,I've seen members go for having no clue, too making there own bait tanks and catching fish now. That's why I started this club. To help people catch fish and learn things they'll needed to know. So they could have more productive days on the water. So give me a call if you would like to get signed up (205)503-2020. Hope to see you on the water and be careful.
