I haven't posted a fishing report in a while, just can't seem to find enough time and energy. We have been very fortunate this season and have been blessed with great weather and plenty of charters. We have run more trips already this year than we did all of last year. As for the fishing it has been hot and cold here lately. A few weeks ago the snapper were in lock jaw mode, however in the last week or so the bite has really improved. We are caching limits of snapper along with lots of grouper , scamp and some amberjack on our longer trips. We just came in off a two day trip. The tuna bite was slow at the Beer Can. There were some yellowfin showing but not many biting. We caught a pile of nice blackfins but lost the only yellowfin right at the boat. But we ended up with fine catch of grouper, AJ , scamp, snapper and wahoo by fishing some deep water rocks.
The billfishing as been awesome all summer and is showing no signs of slowing down. On a recent trip we released four white marlin and one blue marlin . Sept. and Oct. are historically great months for billfish and tuna. We have a good many overnight trips on the books but we also have some openings. If you would like to try something different, than the ordinary bottom bumping trip I encourage you to give Hope a call and get in on one of these fun trips.
I'm going to post some pics from some of our recent trips.
