April 2015 has been another great month of inshore saltwater fishing trips here on the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon Florida. Clients catching everything from Redfish and Seatrout, Black Drum and Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Sharks, Bluefish, Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, and more. My backcountry mixed bag trips have been great, 10 or more species on most trips, keeping it interesting waiting to see what type of fish will surface next. Flats fishing trips targeting Redfish and Seatrout on the shallow grass beds at Mosquito Lagoon in the Canaveral National Park waters is fun sight fishing fun while hunting the flats for Reds. At the end of March Chris and daughter Regan went Redfishing with me on a chilly north windy morning, makes for tough sight fishing but each caught and released a large size Red, Chris with a 33" fish, and Regan caught a 31.5" Red she had a hard time holding up, so I got to model it with her....................
Also late March, still cool with early spring pattern, regular "snowbird" client Ed from Illinois did his annual trip with me catching lots of Bluefish, Jacks, and Sheepshead topped by this jumbo "convict fish"..........................
New clients from Indiana Tammy and Shon brought the family with me on a mixed bag trip and had a great time with a super catching morning, some of everything coming in, the kids had a time catching Reds, Sheepys, Blues, Jacks, and mom caught the biggest Speckled Trout................
