I know I haven't posted in a while but I slowed on all the trips I was doing due to getting remarried and am in the process of buying a new house. So things have been a little hectic. I still have been fishing every week and running at least 3 trips per week but now I am getting fired back up to go 7 days a week.
Anyways let's get to the fishing and I have got to get better at taking more pictures. The clients and I have been cutting up so much that when we catch one we throw it back and then say that would be a nice one to take a picture of. In the picture above we probably had 10 fish like it today.
The swimbait bite has been hot for me. I have caught them on every size and color. Spinnerbaits and crankbaits are working also. In some areas that we are fishing the swimbaits there are balls of bait swimming in with the bait, which is always good. Topwater has been on also but was almost non existent with this cold front that moved in. I didn't see the first fish bust on top today. The action was steady but slower than the past few days today. Best depth range for me has been 4 to 8 feet. Especially for the better fish. Today one of my clients lost one of the biggest fish I have seen in awhile. I would hate to guess on the size but it was one of those that couldn't hardly jump out of the water.
If the water would clear up some I believe that the ledge bite would pick up. There are still alot of fish that haven't spwaned out yet also.
I finally got my new boat in. I was begining to think that they lost my order. It was worth the wait though. Those big graphs are awsome.
I will be back at it tomorrow.
Good Luck and hope this helps a little.
