Sal Mattino

Hello again from St.Lucie Sportfishing Charters!

The trip starts out with gaining an arsenal of live baits from where ever mother nature allows us to fill our live wells. This particular day was south of the inlet about 6-7 miles down the coast.

The pick up of live bait today was relatively easy today, but scarce for the past several weeks.First stop was the Railroad ties. The bite started off with a few Black tip reef sharks. After having our fill of Sharks we decided to move to another area for a diffrent type of action.During our travel to the next spot we saw some scattered weeds and decided to give it a try.I put out a couple of live greenies on 50 pound flourocarbon leaderes connected to 5/0 cicrle hooks.all put together with Suffix 25lb Hi-Vis monofilament.

This effort was rewarded with two hook-ups of some small Dolphin 24-28 inches in length. Not trophy size but definitley great tablefare. Our last stop of the day brought up some Barracuda and few more Sharks.Thats my report for now,I am Capt.Sal,boat safe and fish hard! Please visit us at www.profishingcharters.com.
