The Blue Water Open fishing tournament may have just signalled the beginning of a long awaited dolphin season on the Treasure Coast of Florida.

A 48lb mahi took first place and better catches of this much sought after fish were had by most anglers fishing in 85'-600' of gulfstream blue water.

The Last Mango fished most days this last week catching our share of dolphin, amberjack and an occasional sailfish. Yesterday showed promise of bigger catches to come with a nice bite of smaller dolphin from 6 to 21 lbs in 200 feet on and around scattered weed and the amberjack bite remains consistent on some of the deeper offshore wrecks.

With a good showing of 'free jumpers these past two weeks we'll be trolling a mullet dredge and a ballhoo chain in addition to our squid chains in an effort to fly a few release flags in the days to come.

We have some days open in late May and June so give us a call and "come fish the Mango".
