WE ROLLED OUT L.W. INLET AROUND 8AM FRIDAY I HAD A TONY A BUDDY THAT LIVE;S ACOSS THE STREET FROM ME.
THE ANCORE HOOKED UP IN 124' WE FISHED FOR AN HOUR OR SO WITH NOTHING BUT BLUE RUNNER'S ON TONY'S SIDE. I KNEW IT WAS TIME TO MOVE OUT IT WAS JUST PAST THE HIGH TIDE AND THE SNAPPER WAS NOT READY TO EAT. I TOOK US OUT TO 260' TO A RECK WHERE I'VE BEEN GETTING BIG COBIA'S AND MUTTON'S.
WE MADE THE FIRST DRIFT AND GOT 1 COBIA BITE AND ON THE WAY BACK OUT TROLLING TONY GOT SLAMMED BY A NICE 25LB DOLPHIN ON A BAIT CASTER TOOK HIM FOR EVER TO BOAT THAT COW. MADE 2 MORE DRIFT'S BY THIS TIME IT WAS CLOSE TO LOW TIDE AND I WANTED TO GET BACK TO THE BOTTOM.
WE ANCORED BACK UP ON AHOT SPOT FOR COBIA AND SNAPPER TONY GOT TO HIS 3RD. OR 4TH. BAIT AND HOOKED UP WITH HIS FIRST COBIA EVER I SAY IT'S ABOUT TIME! HE BOATED A 22LBER.
2 BAIT'S LATTER ON MY SIDE OF THE BOAT I HOOKED UP WITH A FAT 35LBER BY 3:30 WE HADE BOATED 10 SNAPPER AND ALL THE ABOVE.
THE COBIA WILL BE HERE FOR 2 OR 3 MORE WEEK'S AND I KNOW WHERE TO GET THEM ON THE LOOSE TRIGGER WE ARE ON TARGET TIGHT LINE.
