Dolphin are scattered offshore from 115-500 feet of water. Trolling has been the best method to find floating debris or small groups of these schoolie dolphin. Trolling the usual colors is producing: chartreuse, pink, and blue/white. We have found acouple floating boards or turtles that have had a few fish on them.
The Kingfish bite has been hot at dawn and dusk. Early and late the bites come fast. It never gets old the first run these smokers take. There have been an abundance of 5-30 lbs kingfish on the edge. These fish will slam a live blue runner, threadfin, or sardine with gusto. They are alittle sketchy about eating dead bait. This bite should remain hot throughout the summer.
Mutton Snapper have been biting when we are bottom fishing! Along with Yellowtail Snapper, Porgies, and Cobia. The bite on the bottom has been good for a mixed bag. The best action has been between 80-90 feet. We have been getting alot of first time anglers hooked up on some really good bottom fishing. Its a great time of year to be on the ocean. The seas are calm and the fishing is hot. We still have a couple of open dates in June. For Charter information go to www.gettinluckyfishing.com, See you on the water.
