Ed Darien Gets Hooked Up

A week or so ago I got a phone call from Ed Darien. He wanted to go fishing in Cape Cod Bay and try and hook up on some stripers. We settle on the full day trip on Thursday the 6th of September. On the morning we set out for Billingsgate Shoals with the hope of finding a few legal size stripers. Ed brought a long his daughter Krissy and her husband Lance Morrow and the friend they stay with in Brewster, Anita Ream. All their hopes were high in anticipation of a good day.
Well, by the end of the first two hours we had landed six nice bass and a few big bluefish. Krissy stated she always lands the largest fish when she and Lance go fishing. This was Lances day. He hooked up on a striper that was ounces away from 40 lbs.. Krissy did land a good size bass but this was her husbands day to out fish her. Lance won the $20 bet they had. What he doesn't realize is he'll never see that $20. I'm married too, I know how it works. They all did win one thing. Mother Nature gave them a good day of fishing on Billingsgate Shoals in Cape Cod Bay.
