This morning we started out fishing with Jordan and Archelle from Winnipeg Canada.

Today we went right to trolling the reef and today the reef was on fire. We caught our limit of kingfish along with a couple of black fin tunas and a box full of bonitos.

You could say it was a none stop catching trip this morning.

As we pulled back to the dock we had Brain, Stephaney and her sister Tracy all from Chicago Illinois.

This afternoon we went right to kite fishing in 350 feet of water with live and dead baits suspended from the kites.

Today it was the live bait that paid off first with a nice 18 pound dolphin fish and than with a 100 inch sail fish!! That's right a 100 incher that was the biggest sailfish I've ever been a part of catching.

That was the good news the bad news was it took us over 45 min of backing down on this sea monster to finally get to him and by the time we got him to the side of the boat we realized why it was taking so long. Not only was it a huge fish but he was hooked in the side to boot. Well needless to say by the time we got to him he was dead so while we really don't like bring these fish back we figured better to have him smoked than to just let him sink to the bottom.

Brain congas you earned this one and I'm sure he is going to look great on the wall.

Thanks again to my new friends from Chicago.

Today I had my old friend Barb out for her 50th B Day along with her boy friend Kurt and her brother Jim from Michigan and our good friend Laura and her boy friend George all from Florida.

The plain today was good eating fish and dolphin was the fish that was requested. So off shore we went with 6 baits skipping across the surface and another bait down about 45 feet. We trolled and trolled and yes trolled with no bites what so ever.

Finally I talked Barb and the rest of the gang into just try to catch fish on the reef and see what we come up with.

Well I've got to say we made the right move in fact I heard Barb saying that it was the best fishing trip ever.

It all started as we got to the reef and hooked into a couple of small black fin tunas and while we were catching them a sail fish came up and tried to eat one of our baits but we missed him.

That was ok at least now we were seeing fish and before we knew it we were catching bonitos and kings one after another. But these were not just little 6 to 7 pounders these were all nice kings ranging from 12 to 28 pounds and we were just having a ball.

Barb thanks soooo much as always it's a blast fishing with you and how about we don't wait a whole year for your B Day to come around again how about we do it on Kurt's B Day too??

As we got back to the dock we had so many fish to clean for their fish fry and since we had our afternoon party eager and ready to go we had to hire someone to clean all the fish for us.

We unloaded the fish took a couple quick photos and headed right back out with our bachelor party for Jay and his friends Cory, Justin, Frank, Ryan and Patrick all from Orange County New York.

These guys had big fish on their mind so we went right to 350 feet of water set out both our kites with live and dead bait suspended from them along with a couple more shark baits set down deep.

As soon as we set out our kites we got attacked by some dolphin fish and ended up landing one out of the two fish that were there. It was a nice 12 pounder just enough for these guys to wash down some of there beer next door at this little restaurant-bar that ins right next to where we dock.

Ok the skunk was out of the box but we were by no means out of the woods these guys really wanted Jay to do battle with a big fish.

We waited and waited and just as I we were going to move into shallower water a big sailfish jumped all over our right long kite bait. The fight was on but just as fast as he showed up the fish jumped right onto another one of our kite lines and broke off. RATS this one hurt it was a nice fish and he was just going nuts jumping all over the place and there was not a thing we could do about it.

Ok back to fishing and waiting when all of a sudden our deep rod bent over and we were Hooked Up with a SEA MONSTER. Jay jumped in the chair and the fight was on.

This was not going to be an easy fish every time Jay would gain some line the fish would just take more out.

So there we were backing down on some big fish everyone rooting Jay on there was no way he was going to give up.

After a 35 min tug a war up popped this big hammerhead shark.

Finally we got a head rope around this fish and got a quick measurement and a few quick photos to have a replica trophy made of Jay's catch and back into the sea he went in great shape to fight again another day.

Jay best of luck and to all of our anglers today it was a blast fishing with all of you and we hope to see you guys again soon.

Today we had our regular customers/friends Clark and Whitney from New York out for a few hours in the afternoon for a bit of big game hunting off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard the Hooked Up. Today they brought along their good friends Matt and Gary from Arizona.

Ok so it was big game they wanted so we went right out to 350 feet of water with once again some live and dead bait suspended from the kites and another shark bait down on the bottom.

At first things just were not going our way between rain coming and going and the current going one way and the wind going another it was dam near imposable to fly the kites and keep the bottom bait down on the bottom.

But we hung in there and finally a shark came in on one of our shark baits and we were Hooked Up.

Matt jumped in the chair and the fight was on. It took Matt a good 20 min but at last we were able to remove all the hooks take a quick picture and we watched him dart away in great shape.

Ok now that the skunk was out of the box a little of the pressure was off.

While we were fighting this shark I had heard on the radio about a few sails being seen in shallower water. So we took off and set back up in about 160 feet of water with live baits suspended from the kites.

It only took a few min till BAM a sailfish came in on our left short bait and just like that we were Hooked Up again.

This time Whitney jumped in the chair and the fight was on. This fish put on one hell of a show for us dancing all over the surface of the waves.

Finally Whitney got her sail to the side of the boat. We got a couple of photos of him swimming along the side of the boat and released him to fight again another day.

At this point we were out of time but I just had a good feeling and decided to stay a few more min and sure enough here comes another shark all over our live bait on the surface.

We knew we did not have out the right tackle to fight this hammerhead shark but Captain Greg was just playing with him. Every time the shark was just about to eat the bait Greg would raise the bait up in the air and the shark was getting pissed off more and more. At the same time I kept bring the kite in closer and closer finally Greg decided to give it a shot and just like that we were Hooked Up again.

This fight only lasted about 30 seconds till he broke us off but what a blast watching this shark getting so turned on the more we took the bait away from him the more he wanted it. I think he would have jumped in the boat to get to the bait. (LOL)

Guys thanks again and as always it a blast fishing with you guys.
